<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #19-288 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE POSITION RECLASSIFCATIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the strategic plan identifies the City Council’s desire to maintain an effective <br />organization and to reclassify jobs in an effort to retain employees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />staff identified four positions to be addressed at this time; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the 2020 budget accounts for the position reclassifications; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />staff recommends the following: Reclassify the current Administrative Assistant, Sue <br />Hurd, to Human Resources Generalist, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $28.06 per hour; and <br />Reclassify the Community Development Director, Tim Gladhill, to Deputy City Administrator, at step 6 of <br />the new wage scale, which is $62.36 per hour; and Reclassify the Fire Marshal, Carey Schiferli, to Assistant <br />Fire Chief/Fire Marshal, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $43.68 per hour; and Reclassify the <br />Engineering Technician III, Joe Feriancek, to Civil Engineer II, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is <br />$37.23 per hour. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #19-288 to Approve Position Reclassifications, effective as of January <br />1, 2020, as follows: <br /> <br />Reclassify the current Administrative Assistant, Sue Hurd, to Human Resources Generalist, at step <br />3 of the new wage scale, which is $28.06 per hour; and Reclassify the current Community <br />Development Director, Tim Gladhill, to Deputy City Administrator, at step 6 of the new wage scale, <br />which is $62.36 per hour; and Reclassify the current Fire Marshal, Carey Schiferli, to Assistant <br />Fire Chief/Fire Marshal, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $43.68 per hour; and Reclassify <br />the current Engineering Technician III, Joe Feriancek, to Civil Engineer II, at step 3 of the new <br />wage scale, which is $37.23 per hour. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Menth, and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
