Public Works Committee 6. 2. <br />Meeting Date: 11/19/2019 <br />By: Bruce Westby, Engineering/Public <br />Works <br />Title: <br />Staff Updates on Improvement Projects and Items of Interest <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to update the Public Works Committee on current and proposed improvement projects <br />within the City, and on other items of interest to the Committee. <br />City Improvement Projects <br />• The COR Regional Infiltration Basin (#18-09) <br />• Grading and storm sewer work is complete <br />• Lift station not operable; control panel not yet installed <br />• Exploring options to remove sand (8K CY) and topsoil (12K CY) stockpiles <br />• WMO Permit extended to June 30, 2020 <br />• Ford Brook Estates Street Reconstructions (#19-01) <br />• Final assessments adopted ($3,919.90 + $1,197.00 = $5,116.90) <br />• 3 of 8 PO's paid their full assessment (no partials) as of November 14 <br />• Punch list work and final payment in 2020 <br />• Wood Pond Hills and Chestnut Ridge Street Reconstructions (#19-03) <br />• Final assessments adopted ($1,445.00) <br />• 13 of 59 PO's have paid their assessment as of November 14 <br />• Punch list work and final payment in 2020 <br />• RTC 9th Addition Pond Lining Improvements (#19-06) <br />• Construction is proposed to start the week of November 18 <br />• Final completion will occur in the spring of 2020 <br />• Wetland 114P Outlet Control Improvements (#19-07) <br />• Engineering Staff will collect topographic survey data this winter <br />• Construction proposed for 2020 <br />• Germanium Street Drainage Improvements (#19-09) <br />• Engineering Staff developing plans <br />• Construction proposed for 2020 <br />• Hedgehog Street Drainage Improvements (#19-10) <br />• Bids will be opened October 30, 2019 <br />• Construction in late 2019/early 2020 <br />Anoka County Improvement Projects <br />• Roundabout at Armstrong Boulevard/CSAH 83 and Alpine Drive <br />• Anoka County received $1.35M in HSIP funds (est. project cost = $1.5M) <br />• Anoka County and City of Ramsey share is $150,000 each (per $1.5M est.) <br />• Anoka County to begin project design in 2020 <br />• Construction is planned for 2022/2023 pending City and County approvals <br />• CSAH 116 & TH 47 Intersection Improvements <br />• Constructing additional turn lanes to improve congestion and safety <br />• Public open house was held at Anoka High School on November 7 <br />• Pedestrian facility connections under discussion <br />
