Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-288 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE POSITION RECLASSIFCATIONS <br />WHEREAS, the strategic plan identifies the City Council's desire to maintain an <br />effective organization and to reclassify jobs in an effort to retain employees; and <br />WHEREAS, staff identified four positions to be addressed at this time; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2020 budget accounts for the position reclassifications; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends the following: Reclassify the current Administrative <br />Assistant, Sue Hurd, to Human Resources Generalist, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is <br />$28.06 per hour; and Reclassify the Community Development Director, Tim Gladhill, to <br />Deputy City Administrator, at step 6 of the new wage scale, which is $62.36 per hour; and <br />Reclassify the Fire Marshal, Carey Schiferli, to Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal, at step 3 of <br />the new wage scale, which is $43.68 per hour; and Reclassify the Engineering Technician III, <br />Joe Feriancek, to Civil Engineer II, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $37.23 per hour. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #19-288 to Approve Position Reclassifications, effective as of <br />January 1, 2020, as follows: <br />Reclassify the current Administrative Assistant, Sue Hurd, to Human Resources <br />Generalist, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $28.06 per hour; and Reclassify the <br />current Community Development Director, Tim Gladhill, to Deputy City Administrator, at <br />step 6 of the new wage scale, which is $62.36 per hour; and Reclassify the current Fire <br />Marshal, Carey Schiferli, to Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal, at step 3 of the new wage <br />scale, which is $43.68 per hour; and Reclassify the current Engineering Technician III, Joe <br />Feriancek, to Civil Engineer II, at step 3 of the new wage scale, which is $37.23 per hour. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />
