the homeowners along the outlot were present. All of the homeowners have stated that they are <br />willing to pay for the fence to go on top of the berm. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski presented photos of the outlot for the Committee's review. <br />Mayor Gamec inquired if it was not likely that there would be a frontage road, <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that at this time it does seem likely. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he thought option the was a good alternative. <br /> <br />Principal Engineer Olson stated that if the Council agrees with option three the City would not be <br />losing any rights to the land because they can place all the appropriate utility easements on the <br />land when it is turned over to the property owners. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he thought the residents could do a better job maintaining the property <br />than the City could. <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson inquired if they could construct the trail this year so that children <br />have an area to walk to school, with the understanding that they will go through the land transfer. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec inquired as to what they would accomplish by installing the trail this year and if <br />was even possible to get the trail constructed yet this year. <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that they could get the trail constructed this year. He <br />explained that with further development occurring to the south they will be accomplishing a <br />continuous trail extension. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if any of the residents present had children walking to school. <br />The residents replied no. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak inquired if there would be the ability amongst the neighbors to construct a <br />uniform fence. <br /> <br />Mr. Rabowski replied that the residents have agreed to do so. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that the she felt that the fence should be continuous and that option <br />three was the answer to resolve the concerns. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson inquired if the City would be retaining the proper easements. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski replied that the City would be retaining easements for trail and street <br />purposes as well as drainage and utility easements. <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/October 15, 2002 <br /> Page 4 ,of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
