Case #12: Consider Light Pole and Banner Arm Specifications Assistant l'ublic Works Director Olson noted that the Streetscape Plan does not include banners tm the light poles within the Ramsey Town Center and staff believes the City needs to plan for thc ['uturc enhancement of thc streetscape plan to include the ability to install banner arms and banners on Sunwood Drive from Armstrong Boulevard to Ramsey Boulevard. He advised that intbrmation on banner arms was presented at the March Public Works Committee meeting and they recommended providing inserts in the poles at 8.5 feet and 12.5 feet above the ground. Assistant Public Works Director Olson explained that normally this case would be included in the l)ublic Works report that is presented at the first Council meeting of the month. However, there is an 8-12 week delivery time after the order is placed. This action is being brought fi)rward to expedite the process so that the order can be placed. Connexus will begin installing thc poles after they arrive. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, that two inserts be included in each of the poles that are ordered for Sunwood Drive located at 8.5 feet and 12.5 feet fi'om thc elevation of the ground. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Jeffrey, Pearson, and Slrommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Olson. Case #13: Consider Contract Revision to LSA Design Assistant Public Works Director Olson reviewed that the scope of services for LSA Design approved last year assumed that the first phase of the parking ramp will only include 460 cars. At'tot recently changing the first phase of the parking ramp to include the fourth level and up to 600 stalls, there is also a need to increase the scope of services for design services. He advised limt the Public Works Committee considered this case at their March meeting and recommended amend lng the contract for LSA to reflect these changes. Full Council action would normally take place alt the first meeting in April when the Public Works Committee report is received; however, ibis is time sensitive and is being brought forward at this meeting. Councilmember Elvig stated he had the opportunity to work with LSA Design on other projects and lbtmd they do a good job. Motion by Councihnember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to approve the contract amendment for I~SA Design to include the items that are in the proposal with funding from a combi nation of the parking ramp project and the escrow from the Ramsey Town Center.
