Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #20-015 RESOLUTION ORDERING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING PUBLIC HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-04, PUMA STREET EXTENSION IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, to support future development the City of Ramsey proposes to improve Puma Street generally between 150th Lane NW and Alpine Drive in 2020 by reconstructing the street and trail and extending municipal utilities; and WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, the City Charter, and the City's adopted Special Assessments Policy. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the proposed improvements, designated as Improvement Project No. 20-04, be referred to the City Engineer for study, and that the City Engineer is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvements are necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether they should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for benefitted properties. 2. A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the loth day of March, 2020 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
