Building Official Jesse Szykulski earns Inspector Certification — This week, Ramsey's <br />Building Inspector, Jesse Szykulski, completed his Inspector Certification through the State of <br />Minnesota. Now Jesse can review, approve and inspect private septic systems within the <br />community. Way to go, Jesse! <br />City Planner Chloe McGuire Brigl earns AICP Certification — This week, City Planner Chloe <br />McGuire Brigl completed her American Institute of Certified Planner (AICP) Certification. This <br />is the only nationwide, independent verification of planners' qualifications. AICP Certified <br />members have the academic qualifications, relevant work experience and mastery of essential <br />skills required to serve the community effectively. Way to go, Chloe! <br />Ramsey Business Expo 2020. Ramsey Economic Development Authority will hold their 12th <br />Annual Business Expo on Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM at Adrenaline Sports <br />Center (8310 147th Lane NW). Explore the variety of businesses that the City of Ramsey has to <br />offer. Bring the whole family for a day of giveaways and fun activities. Sample local restaurants, <br />discover professional services, retail businesses and more! Highlights include: FREE admission <br />and City of Ramsey tote bag at the door, 60 exhibitors, balloon art & airbrush tattoos by "A Touch <br />of Magic" and much more. Ramsey's Police and Fire Departments helped to <br />collectively raise nearly $12,000 for the Anoka County Polar Plunge for <br />Minnesota Special Olympics! Approximately 570 jumpers took the <br />plunge and over $155,000 was raised by pledgers in Anoka County. Thank <br />you all who participated and donated. We will be joined by Ian <br />Leonard, Meteorologist at FOX 9. The breakfast is from 7:30 to 9:00 am on Friday, April <br />17, at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka. Buffet line opens at 7:15 am. Individual tickets are <br />$30; eight -person tables for $200. All funds raised at this event go directly to supporting <br />middle and high school youth in our service area. Snow piled close to hydrants restricts operation during a fire emergency. The <br />TCity is requesting your help in keeping our fire hydrants accessible. Please clear a four - <br />foot circle around the hydrant near your home to ensure easy access for our Fire <br />Department.
