CC Regular Session 8. 1. Meeting Date: 03/10/2020 By: Bruce Westby, Engineering/Public Works Information Title: Engineering Department Updates Purpose/Background: Purpose The purpose of this case is to present general updates to the City Council and the public on projects and studies currently being worked on by Engineering Department Staff, and on projects and studies that are being completed by others with assistance or direction from Engineering Staff. Background Pavement Management Projects Attached is a figure showing the locations of pavement management projects that Engineering Staff have been working on in recent months as either proposed for construction in 2020 per the 2020 - 2029 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), or as directed by the City Council. Staff will present updates on each of these projects during the meeting. Water Supply Studies Staff will also provide updates on the two water supply studies currently being completed by SEH, Inc., which includes the Northwest Metro Regional Surface Water Supply Feasibility Study, and the City of Ramsey Centralized Water Treatment Facility Study. The general purpose of these studies is to assist the City in making well-informed decisions while expanding and improving the City's water supply system. Other Improvement Projects Staff will provide an update on the status of The COR Infiltration Basin, as well as on the proposed 2021 Anoka County led project to improve safety and operations at the intersection of Bunker Lake Boulevard / CSAH 116 & Saint Francis Boulevard / Highway 47. Recommendation: Staff has no recommendations related to these updates.
