Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #20-043 RESOLUTION POSTPONING PUBLIC HEARING FOR PUMA STREET IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-04 WHEREAS, to support future development the City of Ramsey proposes to improve Puma Street generally between 150th Lane NW and Alpine Drive in 2020 by reconstructing the street and trail and extending municipal utilities; and WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, the City Charter, and the City's adopted Special Assessments Policy; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-015, a Public Hearing was called for the loth day of March, 2020, in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk was directed to give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law; and WHEREAS, Public Hearing notices were not mailed to benefiting property owners as required by law; and WHEREAS, the Public Hearing must be postponed to March 24, 2020, to allow sufficient time to mail notices to benefiting property owners and to publish notice twice in the City's official newspaper as required by law. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the 24th day of March, 2020 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
