<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #20-047 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION HIRING A TEMPORARY PERMIT TECHNICIAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />Staff alerted the City Council of an upcoming temporary absence in the <br />Community Development Department due to a staff member’s leave of absence; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> Staff selected a qualified candidate; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> temporary employees are not eligible for benefits; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> Staff recommends hiring the Temporary Permit Technician to work in the <br />Community Development Department. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #20-047 to hire the following employee on or near the date <br />listed below: <br /> <br />Temporary Permit Technician, Katy Hauan, effective on or near March 30, 2020 through <br />approximately June 30, 2020 at $29.321 per hour, which is Step 6 of the 2020 Permit <br />Technician wage. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
