Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -12 -337 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 1 PARTIAL PAYMENT TO MEADOWVALE <br />CONSTRUCTION, INC. AND CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#99 -67, (MISSISSIPPI RIVER STORMWATER SUBDRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1) <br />WHEREAS, on April 11, 2000, the Ramsey City Council approved Improvement Project <br />#99 -67 (Mississippi River Stormwater Subdrainage District No. 1) as a non - assessment project; and <br />WHEREAS, September 13, 2000, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #00 -09 -233 <br />awarding the bid for Improvement Project #99 -67 to Meadowvale Construction in the amount of <br />$294,128.00; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to approve Change Order No. 1 which results in a <br />decrease in contract price by replacing concrete pipe with polyethylene resulting in a new contract <br />amount of $265,517.60; and <br />WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski inspected the completed work and <br />recommended partial payment to Meadowvale Construction in the amount of $38,954.94. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Meadowvale Construction for <br />Improvement Project #99 -67 in the amount of $38,954.94. <br />2. That the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release <br />form for this payment. <br />3. That the City Council hereby authorizes a Change Order to Meadowvale Construction, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project #99 -67. <br />3. That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the month of December 2000. <br />4. That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmeiman <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />RESOLUTION #00 -12 -337 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
