Ms. Brock stated her area of Ramsey is one of the safest in the city. She indicated when you add
all those people you get an influx of people that are not as nice as what they have now.

I(cvin Gordelza, 14915 Puma Street noted that where the concept plan has buildings on the end
of l)uma is where he lives. He stated he owns three acres, and he does not want anything built on
top of his house.

Associate Planner Wald noted a developer cannot build on land without owning it.

Mrs. Gordelza indicated Pulte Homes contacted them last week about a proposal for their home,
and said they would get back to them within a week, however they have not heard from Pulte
[Iomcs since then. She stated she wishes Pulte Homes would have dealt with them before
making this proposal to the Planning Commission.

Associate Planner Wald advised that Staff directed Pulte Homes to show how the exception
piece could be developed so Staff could see how all the pieces connect.

Commissioner Brauer noted he does not want to see people get surrounded by development to
thc point they have to sell because they are landlocked.

Corn. missioner Van Scoy noted he appreciates the concern, but his property is zoned R-2 and
property around their parcel is also zoned R-2.

Chairperson Nixt stated they understand the Gordelza's concern, but to do planning Staff has to
amicipatc what is logical for a site. He indicated their property, whether tomorrow or 20 years in
thc t'uturc, is logical with development as R-2. He stated this in no way obligates anyone to sell
their property or do anything with their land.

OTHER COMMISSION BUSINESS

I"4011(3.

Al)J() U RNMENT

Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Brauer, to adjourn the meeting.

The regular mccting of the Planning Commission adjourned at 8:03 p.m.

[~,cspcctl~tlly submitted,

l<arcn Bucklen
Recording Secretary
TimeSm,er Off,Site SecrelariaL Inc.

~&an~xld'
Assoc' t~l~lan

Planning Commission/March 10, 2005
