Mr. l'aul Schmaltz, 16554 Quartz, stated there is nothing for the new east/west connection of the <br />(',ity. Nc stated this is the missing piece to the puzzle. They are rushing into this without <br />examining thc roadway positioning in the City. He indicated he would like to see more <br />consideration given to Comprehensive Plan Amendments. <br /> <br />Mt'. llud Augst wondered what the time frame was from previous zoning was. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon stated there were no zoning changes done to this <br />parcel ot' land. }-te stated they periodically update the zoning maps to reflect changes. <br /> <br />Mr. Augst stated it must have taken some study to change the zoning seven months ago. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon disagreed that the zoning was changed seven <br />mOl~ths ago. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer stated what they were looking at was the result of when they were <br />reviewing the Comprehensive Plan; some areas were questionable so the map was redone to <br />correct mistakes. He stated the change in July involved a small number of properties in the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Ih'ed I,mnkau, 6951 167th Avenue, stated they need to look at a road map before approving <br />the sketch plan. Itc stated 167~h will not accommodate added traffic. <br /> <br />Mt'. Tony 1 ,ce, 16685 Garnett, stated his concern is the quality of life in Ramsey. He stated they <br />moved here three years ago because of the open area in the City. He thought the City should <br />consider allowing only one unit per acre. <br /> <br />Mr, .loc Smith, 16821 Garnett Street, stated when the site plan is looked at, there should be <br />consideration for transitioning because currently there is none. He stated he lives very close to a <br />cul-de-sac and if they open this up, the main traffic will go to his road. He stated that as a <br />registered voter in the City of Ramsey, he opposed the amendment of the Comprehensive Plan <br />and the Brookficld Addition. <br /> <br />Ms. Pattie Lewerenz, 7009 175th Avenue NW, stated these developments need to be looked at <br />closcr. She thought it was uncalled for to run sewer up to these developments when people south <br />of there will not have it until they sell. She asked why the lots needed to be so small. She stated <br />l:here m'c a lot of things that need to be looked at that have not been looked at before. She <br />thought they needed to look at the entire City and not just the one development. She thought the <br />development was too small in lots and the roads needed to be looked at. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Ellis, 17001 166th Avenue NW, stated he has a number of problems with this <br />dcvcloptncnt. One is the transition of homes; there is also a traffic factor. He did not feel the <br />neighborhood could handle the traffic. He stated the schools are already over crowded and they <br />need a high school.
