• <br />Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -10 -283 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #00 -21, 143 AVENUE N.W. STREET AND UTILITY <br />CONSTRUCTION <br />WHEREAS, on September 13, 2000, City Council adopted Resolution #00 -09 -229 <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #00 -21, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br />Erickson Construction, Inc. <br />Barbarossa & Sons <br />S.J. Louis Construction <br />Northdale Construction Co. <br />W.B Miller, Inc. <br />LaTour Construction, Inc. <br />Engineers Estimate <br />bidder. <br />Bidder <br />111 Mayor Gamec <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary the six lowest quotes that were received: <br />Amount of Bid <br />$497,580.48 <br />$505,994.00 <br />$517,325.50 <br />$517,929.28 <br />$520,650.85 <br />$524,681.11 <br />$582,157.75 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Erickson Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Erickson Construction, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />construction of Improvement Project #00 -21 in the amount of $497,580.48. <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
