PIN <br />FEE OWNER <br />REAL PROPERTY DESCRIPTION <br />21- 32 -25 -24 -0001 <br />Reginald Vassuer <br />The Southeast Quarter of the <br />Northwest Quarter of Section 21, <br />Township 32, north range 25 <br />west, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br />• 3) <br />Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />#00 -10 -266 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISTION OF PROPERTY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION <br />OF PROJECT #99 -51 (153 AVENUE N.W. /155 AVENUE N.W. EXTENSION) <br />WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary and in the best public interest to construct a segment of its <br />Municipal State Aid system, currently known as 153 Avenue N.W /155 Avenue N.W. Extension <br />( "Public Improvement Project "); and <br />WHEREAS, the Improvement Project represents the last segment of an east -west collector street <br />which runs from Roanoke Street N.W. to U.S. Highway #10; and <br />WHEREAS, except for that part of the above described real property necessary for the Public <br />Improvement Project, the owner's real property described herein is predominantly wetland which the City <br />finds is necessary to acquire for the public purpose of wetland conservancy and storm water drainage; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has authority to acquire the real property for the Public Improvement Project <br />by eminent domain pursuant to Minn. Stat. Chapter 117; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has the right to acquire the real property prior to the filing of an award by <br />the Court appointed Commissioners, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §117.001 and § 117.042; and <br />WHEREAS, the City finds and declares that it is in the public interest to acquire title to and <br />possession of the real property prior to the filing of an award by the Court appointed Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owner of the real property which needs to be acquired has been <br />identified by the City as follows: <br />(the "Subject Property ") <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) In order to carry out the purposes and objectives described above it is necessary to acquire the Subject <br />Property. <br />2) The acquisition of the Subject Property by exercise of eminent domain in the manner provided by <br />Minnesota Statute Chapter 117 serves a public interest and is deemed to be necessary. <br />The City deems it necessary for the reasons set forth above to proceed without delay under Minn. Stat. <br />§117.042 to pay to the owners or into court a sum of money to serve as compensation to the owners of <br />the Subject Property, which amount shall be equal to Petitioner's approved appraisal of value as <br />determined by the City. <br />
