PIN FEE OWNER REAL PROPERTY DESCRIPTION 21- 32 -25 -24 -0001 Reginald Vassuer The Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 32, north range 25 west, Anoka County, Minnesota. • 3) Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: #00 -10 -266 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISTION OF PROPERTY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PROJECT #99 -51 (153 AVENUE N.W. /155 AVENUE N.W. EXTENSION) WHEREAS, the City finds it necessary and in the best public interest to construct a segment of its Municipal State Aid system, currently known as 153 Avenue N.W /155 Avenue N.W. Extension ( "Public Improvement Project "); and WHEREAS, the Improvement Project represents the last segment of an east -west collector street which runs from Roanoke Street N.W. to U.S. Highway #10; and WHEREAS, except for that part of the above described real property necessary for the Public Improvement Project, the owner's real property described herein is predominantly wetland which the City finds is necessary to acquire for the public purpose of wetland conservancy and storm water drainage; and WHEREAS, the City has authority to acquire the real property for the Public Improvement Project by eminent domain pursuant to Minn. Stat. Chapter 117; and WHEREAS, the City has the right to acquire the real property prior to the filing of an award by the Court appointed Commissioners, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §117.001 and § 117.042; and WHEREAS, the City finds and declares that it is in the public interest to acquire title to and possession of the real property prior to the filing of an award by the Court appointed Commissioners; and WHEREAS, the property owner of the real property which needs to be acquired has been identified by the City as follows: (the "Subject Property ") NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) In order to carry out the purposes and objectives described above it is necessary to acquire the Subject Property. 2) The acquisition of the Subject Property by exercise of eminent domain in the manner provided by Minnesota Statute Chapter 117 serves a public interest and is deemed to be necessary. The City deems it necessary for the reasons set forth above to proceed without delay under Minn. Stat. §117.042 to pay to the owners or into court a sum of money to serve as compensation to the owners of the Subject Property, which amount shall be equal to Petitioner's approved appraisal of value as determined by the City.
