• Parks: Park buildings, including public restrooms, closed until May 4. Port-a-pottys are
available for public use. All park playgrounds have been closed. Garbage containers will
be monitored and emptied as needed.
• Police: Officers, deputies, and troopers will continue to patrol as usual. The Department of
Public Safety suggests that law enforcement agencies seek to educate instead of taking an
enforcement approach. Officers will address any complaints of violations of the
Governor's Executive Order on a case -by -case basis, beginning with an educational
discussion rather than an enforcement action. These are opportunities to talk about why
federal, state and local authorities are taking action to slow the spread of COVID-19.
• Public Works: The department will respond to any weather related emergencies (snow
removal), emergency road and sewer repairs and replace critical traffic signs. Street
sweeping and hydrant flushing has been postponed.
The following events have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the most up-to-date information, please check our website: www.cityoframsey.com.
• April 4 - Business Expo has been postponed (New date TBD)
• May 2 - The Spring Recycling Event has been canceled.
• The City Council will consider the cancellation of future work sessions and regular
meetings as needed. In order to protect Ramsey Residents,
Businesses, Solicitors and Vendors, The City is suspending all existing Peddler and Solicitor
licenses that are "door to door" or "business to business" in nature. These types of business cannot
maintain proper social distancing recommendations so this is why we are temporarily suspending
those licenses. In addition, the City is not processing any new Solicitor or Peddler application at
this time. If you have any questions please contact Economic Development Manager, Sean
Sullivan or Deputy City Administrator/ CD Director Tim Gladhill.
