course the annual Art Fair at Elmcrest Park. <br />Scouting <br />Boy and Girl Scouts' contributions to the City's park and <br />recreation services are almost immeasurable, with partnerships <br />regularly occurring each year. Recent projects included the <br />development and installation of an Ospreey Platform at <br />Cottonwood Park with interpretive signage, or the hands- <br />on contributions to the new Nature -based Playground in the <br />western portion of the City. Another meaningful project by Girl <br />Scout Troop # was the fundraising and installation of the GaGa <br />Ball Pit at North Commons park in Ramsey's downtown <br />University of Minnesota Extension (Tree Care Advisor, <br />Master Gardener, MN Master Naturalist) <br />2020 was the second year the City offered the Minnesota Master <br />Naturalist program in Ramsey.This is both a programmed service <br />for residents desiring to professionalize and learn more about <br />Minnesota's ecology and natural history —but also a wellspring <br />in terms of developing a corps of informed individuals who will <br />'give back' to maintain their Master Naturalist certification. As <br />of this writing, the program is already generating volunteer <br />contributions for the City.
