Cities offer fee assistance as a means to not exclude <br />populations to participate while encouraging the benefits <br />of recreation to all users, regardless of their socioeconomic <br />status. Some participants may be deterred by the stigma <br />of financial aid. A successful fee assistance policy should <br />be easy for users to find and clearly outlined on online and <br />printed publications. <br />Fee assistance is necessary to allow all users who want <br />to participate in a program do so. Eliminating economic <br />barriers is key to growing an involved community, as well <br />as enriching people's lives through parks and recreation. <br />Ramsey residents may reach out to the Recreation Specialist <br />or refer to the City Website to request fee assistance for a <br />program.
