City of Ramsey
Re: Project NoO. 19-136 Garden View Villas (DC Townhomes)
I am the owner of a property on 147th ST NW near the grassland/wetland space. Let me be clear
that I applaud the city's growth and development, however, I am very concerned about the lack
of green space and parks being set aside for residents of the community.
Currently there are 270+ housing/units with a proposed 23 additional homes so the Town Center
Garden development from Ramsey Blvd. to Town Center Drive, will soon have 300 housing
units. The once vacant area in our development offered an area for families and kids to enjoy
until it too was filled with 24 additional units, adding more houses will only further deplete the
limited green space in the area.
I have seen every area of land get developed seemingly without any planning regarding the
current community. Many of these homes have families with kids and the city has not held any
developer responsible for providing a park and retaining enough natural green space. Now is the
time to remedy this problem- not after all the land has been developed.
Please allow our community to have some non developed areas to raise their families by making
Ramsey a city they desire to come home to.
Thank you,
Sue Dutson
