CASE # <br /> <br />APPOINT CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR FOR COMMISSION <br /> By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Each year the Commission must appoint a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. This would be for <br />a term to expire December 31, 2005. This case was on the agenda in January, and the <br />(5)remission voted to table the appointment to the next meeting. It was at that meeting we <br />learned o[~ new legislation relating to term limits on Charter - currently there are none! Thus, <br />Tim Vogt agreed to remain on the Commission. Staff had received a couple letters of interest <br />at~d ,:vas directed to infbrm them of the new legislation and that the Charter Commission was <br />planning to request that the District Judge reappoint Mr. Vogt. Staff wrote letters to the <br />interested parties informing them of the Commission's decision. Those letters are included with <br />this case: tbr your information. Also included with this case is the Court's.
