• <br />Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -09 -234 <br />RESOLUTION FOR LOCAL SURFACE WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization prepared a <br />Comprehensive Watershed Plan that was approved by the Board of Water and Soil Resources on <br />August 26, 1998; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Minnesota Rules 8410.0160 and the Metropolitan <br />Surface Water Management Act states that each unit of local government must establish a local <br />surface water management plan consistent with State law; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization <br />Comprehensive Watershed Plan states that each city will complete its local surface water <br />management plan in a two -year period for its submittal to the Board of Water and Soil <br />Resources; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will enter into a contract to perform a comprehensive <br />local surface water management plan. <br />• NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey hereby formally adopts the Lower Rum River Watershed <br />Organization Comprehensive Watershed Plan. <br />2) That the City of Ramsey will complete a comprehensive, local surface water management <br />plan and submit to State and local agencies as required by Minnesota Rules Chapter <br />8410.0160, for review by December 31, 2002 <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Connolly and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
