40 Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00 -09 -233 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99 -67 (MISSISSIPPI RIVER STORMWATER SUBDRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 1) WHEREAS, on August 8, 2000, City Council adopted Resolution #00 -08 -192 approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Improvement Project #99 -67, Mississippi River Stormwater Subdrainge District No. 1, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and bidder. WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: Meadowvale Construction Northdale Construction Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. Burschville Construction W. B. Miller Dave Perkins Contracting S. R. Weidema, Inc. Richard Knutson, Inc. Volk Sewer & Water Randy Kramer Excavating Lametti & Sons, Inc. Bidder Amount of Bid $294,128.00 $317,128.24 $336,525.35 $348,276.85 $353,186.50 $356,949.50 $372,698.76 $373,777.22 $392,393.55 $397,770.05 $448,715.15 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Meadowvale Construction is the lowest responsible NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Meadowvale Construction in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement Project #99 -67, Mississippi River Stormwater Subdrainge District No. 1 in the amount of $294,128. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
