• Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00 -08 -197 RESOLUTION DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF LEO ANDERSON, CHAIRPERSON OF THE RAMSEY PLANNING COMMISSION WHEREAS, Mr. Leo Anderson applied for and was appointed to the City of Ramsey Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment in 1998; and WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was appointed and served as the Chairperson for the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment; and WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was instrumental in updating the City of Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson was committed to making the City of Ramsey a better place to live; and WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson continued to diligently serve the community until his valiant battle with a terminal illness ended on July 21, 2000. • NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council recognizes Mr. Anderson's numerous hours of service to the City of Ramsey. 2) That the City Council recognizes Mr. Anderson's commitment and passion for making the City of Ramsey a better place to live. 3) That the Ramsey City Council is presenting Councilmember Susan E. Anderson with this resolution as a tribute to her husband Leo. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Hendriksen Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Connolly Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None
