Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-044 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR AMENDED 2020 <br />OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-02A <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a Ramsey City Council Resolution #19-264, adopted December <br />10, 2019, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br />2020 pavement overlay improvements within the residential developments of Klemish and <br />Flores, Sunfish Square, Sunfish Square 2nd Addition, Windemere Woods, and Windemere <br />Woods 2nd Addition as identified in the City's current capital improvement program (CIP); and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-036, adopted February <br />24, 2020, the City Council accepted the City Engineer's conclusion that the 2020 mill and <br />overlay improvements as proposed in the current CIP are not generally feasible or cost-effective <br />from an engineering standpoint, and concurred with the City Engineer's recommendation that the <br />improvements should not be completed in 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-037, adopted February <br />24, 2020, the City Engineer was instructed to prepare a Feasibility Report with reference to <br />proposed amended 2020 pavement overlay improvements within the Business Park 95 <br />commercial development and the Regency Pond 1st, 2nd and 3rd Additions; and <br />WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City <br />Charter, and the City's Special Assessments Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. Upon considering the proposed amended 2020 pavement overlay improvements for said <br />streets in accordance with the Feasibility Report, the City Council accepts the City <br />Engineer's conclusion that the proposed improvements are not feasible or cost-effective <br />from an engineering standpoint, and concurs with the City Engineer's recommendation <br />that the improvements should not be completed in 2020. <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />Resolution #20-044 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
