<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #20-043A <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUMA STREET IMPROVEMENTS, IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #20-04 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-015, adopted February <br />24, 2020, the City Engineer was instructed to prepare a Feasibility Report with reference to <br />proposed street, trail, and trunk utility improvements to approximately 1,050 feet of Puma Street <br />between 150th Lane NW and Alpine Drive NW, and other appurtenant work, and a Public <br />Hearing was ordered for March 10, 2020 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the <br />proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-043, adopted March 10, <br />2020, the Public Hearing was postponed to March 24, 2020, to allow sufficient time to mail <br />notices to benefiting property owners and to publish notice twice in the City’s official newspaper <br />as required by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City <br />Charter, and the City’s Special Assessments Policy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City Council accepted the Feasibility Report and conducted a Public <br />Hearing for the proposed improvements on March 24, 2020. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br />Report accepted by Council on March 24, 2020. <br /> <br />2) Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City Charter, and the City’s <br />Special Assessments Policy, benefiting properties shall be assessed for all or a portion of <br />the cost of the improvements, which have an estimated total project cost of $925,000. <br /> <br />3) The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the <br />engineer is ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvements. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
