Board and Commission Recruitment <br />Current Status: There are currently eight open seats due to terms expiring or resignations. Of those <br />eight seats, four members are seeking reappointment. All four members seeking reappointment are in <br />good standing and recommended for reappointment. The City's policy for the Recruitment, Application, <br />and Interview Process of Appointing City Board and Commission Members states that incumbents will <br />be allowed to continue to serve until a successor is appointed. <br />We have received eight applications from individuals that are not currently serving, but would like to be <br />considered for a board or commission. <br />All applicants have been advised that we will reach out to reschedule interviews when a new date has <br />been determined. <br />Vacant Seats / Seats Incumbents Remaining <br />Expiring 03-31-20 Seeking Re- Vacancies (If <br />Appointment Incumbent is Re- <br />appointed) <br />EDA 2 1 1 <br />EPB 3 2 1 <br />Park and Rec. 2 0 2 <br />Planning 1 1 0 <br />Total 8 4 4 <br />Next Steps: Staff will be seeking the City Council's direction regarding reappointments; as well as how <br />and when to proceed with new candidate interviews. <br />
