Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #00 -06 -155 RESOLUTION REQUESTING A BUDGET TRANSFER OF $5,000 FOR THE COMMUNITY CELEBRATION. WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey held a commemorative event in 1999 to celebrate the Community's twenty -fifth anniversary as a City; and WHEREAS, the residents have individually expressed a desire to Council and City Staff to again have a Community Celebration; and WHEREAS, Staff has determined that $5,000 is available in the budget of the Council Contingency and could be transferred to budget of the Council and Mayor to fund a Community Celebration; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the transfer of $5,000 from the budget of the Council Contingency to budget of the Mayor and Council for the purpose of funding a Community Celebration. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Anderson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Hendriksen Councilmember Anderson Councilmember Connolly and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Zimmerman Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13` day of June, 2000.
