Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -06 -153 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF TARA OLSON TO FULL -TIME <br />PUBLIC WORKS SECRETARY <br />WHEREAS, on May 23, 2000 Council authorized staff to begin the process to hire a <br />full -time Public Works Secretary; and <br />WHEREAS, the position was posted internally and one letter of interest was received <br />from Tara Olson; and <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Olson was interviewed by the Director of Public Works and Human <br />Resources Manager on June 7, 2000 and was recommended to the Personnel Committee to fill <br />the full -time Public Works Secretary position. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to hire Tara Olson for the full -time Public Works Secretary <br />position. <br />2) That Ms. Olson will be compensated at her existing annual rate of $25,701 with two <br />weeks of vacation and be required to complete a six month probationary period. Ms. <br />Olson has already undergone background and reference checks. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Gamec, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />
