• <br />• <br />Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -06 -151 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY ELECTRONICALLY <br />RECORD AND TELEVISE THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED MONTHLY MEETINGS <br />OF THE ANOKA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is one of four Anoka County cities that are members of <br />the Quad Cities Cable Commission, of which three cities are located in Anoka County; and <br />WHEREAS, the members of the Quad Cities Cable Commission actively use cable <br />television technology to keep our constituents informed of the workings of local government; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Anoka is a critical component of local government serving <br />the citizens of the city of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of our City will benefit from the availability of televised <br />meetings of the Anoka County Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the technical staff of the Quad Cities Cable Commission media center can <br />be available to assist Anoka County in making televised meetings of the County Commission a <br />• reality. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Anoka County Commission is hereby requested and encouraged to work with <br />the staff of the Quad Cities Cable Commission Media Center to record or televise the <br />meetings of the Anoka County Commissioners such that Anoka County Commission <br />meetings may be televised for our residents. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />
