• <br />• <br />• <br />Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00- 06 -145A <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE 2000 <br />STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - BITUMINOUS OVERLAY (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECTS #00 -01 THROUGH #00 -05) <br />WHEREAS, Resolutions #00 -06 -086 through #00 -06 -090 were adopted by Ramsey City <br />Council on April 11, 2000, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above <br />referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution #00 -04 -101 was adopted by Ramsey City Council approving the <br />plans and specifications and the advertisement for bids for the above - referenced work; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2000 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 6, 2000; and <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received for the 2000 Street Maintenance <br />Program - Bituminous Overlay: <br />Bidder <br />W. Miller, Inc. <br />Bauerly Companies <br />Midwest Asphalt <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />Amount of Bid <br />$349,968.75 <br />$365,415.00 <br />$368,475.00 <br />$368,913.00 <br />$373,635.00 <br />$326,729.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that W. B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with W.B. Miller, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 2000 Street <br />Maintenance Program - Bituminous Overlay (Improvement Projects #00 -01 through #00- <br />05) in the amount of $349,968.75. <br />
