• <br />Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE YEAR 2000 BUDGET TO FUND A <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INTERN. <br />and <br />RESOLUTION #00 -05 -143 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a growing and fast developing community; <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Department is seeing an increasing <br />case load because of this growth and because it is summer, this is Department's busiest <br />time; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has determined that $6,500 is available in the Year 2000 <br />Budget from the Engineering Cost Center 301 as a result of an Engineer position that was <br />budgeted for; and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineer position was not filled until May 30, 2000, leaving <br />some excess funds from this line item; and <br />WHEREAS, the amount of $6,500 could be transferred to the Community <br />Development budget to fund an planning and zoning intern; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the Budget Amendment of $6,500 <br />from the Engineering Budget to the Community Development Budget for the purpose of <br />funding a planning and zoning intern. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />
