• <br />Councilmember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -05 -136 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF JEFF KATERS TO FULL - <br />TIME PATROL OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, Christopher McClish resigned from his position as a Patrol Officer <br />with the City of Ramsey effective January 4, 2000; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council approved replacement of the Patrol Officer position on <br />January 11, 2000; and <br />WHEREAS, staff conducted a hiring process and a panel interviewed four <br />candidates on March 8, 2000; and <br />WHEREAS, Jeffrey Katers was the panel's first choice. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to hire Jeffrey Katers as a full -time Patrol Officer. <br />2) That in his new position as a full time patrol officer, Mr. Katers will be <br />compensated at an annual rate of $33,688 with two weeks of vacation and be <br />required to complete a one year probationary period. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Connolly, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
