• <br />Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -03 -078 <br />RESOLUTION ASSERTING PROPOSED MISSISSIPPI RIVER CROSSING <br />PREFERENCE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been interested in a Mississippi River crossing to <br />the City of Dayton for many years; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1988 the City of Ramsey had proposed to the Anoka County Highway <br />Department that the Mississippi River crossing would be located in the city at C.R. #56 or C.R. <br />#83; and <br />WHEREAS, in 1989 the City of Ramsey indicated agreement with the proposed Anoka <br />County 2010 Transportation Plan which did show the Mississippi River Crossing between C.R. <br />#56 and C.R. #83; and <br />WHEREAS, the most recent version of the City of Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan <br />recommends the Mississippi River bridge crossing be located to the southwest of C.R. #83; and <br />WHEREAS, the most recent version of the City of Dayton's Comprehensive Plan <br />indicates the same alignment of the proposed Mississippi River crossing aligning with the <br />proposed City of Ramsey Mississippi River crossing. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1.) That the County recognized the City of Ramsey's preference of a Mississippi River bridge <br />crossing be shown at a location southwest of County Road #83; and <br />2.) That the City of Ramsey formally requests that the next revision of the Anoka County <br />Transportation Plan include the proposed Mississippi River bridge crossing being shown at <br />a location southwest of C.R. #83. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />
