• <br />• <br />Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #00 -01 -026 <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING ENGINEERING CONTRACT <br />FOR WATER TOWER NO. 2 (IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99 -64) <br />WHEREAS, Requests for Proposal were submitted to two firms specializing in tanks <br />and water storage facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, proposals were received from AEC Engineering, Inc. and KLM, Inc; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends AEC Engineering, Inc. for this work. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with AEC Engineering, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the preparation of <br />plans and specifications for Water Tower No. 2 (Improvement Project #99 -64) in the amount <br />of $97,800, however, the contract shall be structured such that the City may terminate at any <br />point without liability beyond payment for the actual work completed up to the time of <br />termination. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Connolly, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Connolly <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Mayor Gamec <br />
