Councilmember Pearson said that he heartily supports the decision bv Mr. Hartley and <br />Councilmember DeLuca to take this training class. He also feels that alt'hough Mr. Hanley <br />and Councilmember DeLuca did acquire some personal gain by this training, it was <br />incidental to the objective providing the City with programming capabilities at a cost <br />savings also, there is always some personal gain for any individual in tt,e attainment of an <br />education. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann feels that Mr. Hartley's regular duties are in no wa,,, suffering because of <br />the additional responsibility he has undertaken with the design of these data base programs. <br /> <br />Motion by Councitmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to require <br />Councilmember DeLuca and City Administrator David Hartley to reimburse the Git>, for the <br />cost of the 4th Dimension training. <br /> <br />Motion failed. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Cich and Peterson. Voting No: Mayor <br />Reimann and Councilmember Pearson. Abstaining: Councilmember DcLuca. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Petition opposing Improvement Project :/g:)0-01 OVaco Street) <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley noted that he had received a petition opposing the paving <br />of Waco Street N.W. <br /> <br />b) Proclamation of Girl Scout Week <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to proclaim <br />March 11 through March 17, 1990 as Girl Scout Week and April 2 through April 9, 1990 <br />as Week of the Young Child. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cich, Pearson, DeLuca <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion bv Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adjourn the <br />regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Cich, DeLuca <br />and Pearson.
