The City of Ramsey would support applications to this <br />program.Thc City of Ramsey does not maintain this program. <br />Minnesota Housing Finance Agency - Consolidated Request for Proposals <br />The Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA1 currently utilizes a single annlication for <br />affordable housing financing with multinle nartners. including the Metronolitan Council. Minnesota <br />Housing. Family Housing Fund. Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development <br />(DEEDI. and the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency. The Consolidated RFP has a significant amount <br />of financial resources and numerous nartners. which allows for creative finance nackages for <br />projects., <br />When we would use this: The City of Ramsey does not maintain this program: however. the City <br />of Ramsey would support and engage in applications to this program to maintain naturally <br />occurring affordable housing (NOAH). particularly rental units. within the City. The City would <br />support an annlication to this program for any NOAH preservation within the City. and would <br />prioritize well -maintained housing throughout the City at 80% or less of AMI. The City would <br />consider being a partner for applications to this program for affordable housing projects at any <br />affordability level. It is likely that the City Council would write a letter of support on behalf of an <br />annlication to this program. <br />Greater Minnesota Housing Fund <br />The Greater Minnesota Housing Fund (GMHF) provides eauitv investments in affordable housing <br />projects. both for new LIHTC projects and for NOAH preservation projects. Their priority projects <br />include the preservation of affordable homes. preventing and ending homelessness. and the <br />creation of new affordable homes. They provide gap loans, interim loans. and permanent loans to <br />multifamily projects. <br />When we would use this: The City of Ramsey actively makes potential project partners aware of <br />GMHF programs. and would support applications to their loan funds for the creation of new <br />affordable housing projects. and for the preservation of NOAH. The City would consider utilizing <br />this program for NOAH preservation if the City decided to create its own housing programs.
