Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-084 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSALS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2020 <br />GROUND PENETRATING RADAR PAVEMENT EVALUATIONS, IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #20-06 <br />WHEREAS, City staff proposes to use ground penetrating radar to evaluate existing <br />pavement sections on 117 miles of public streets that have no as -built record plans or project <br />inspection records to identify the existing pavement section with confidence; and <br />WHEREAS, requests for proposals were submitted to two contractors for the purpose of <br />obtaining proposal fees for completing the proposed services; and <br />WHEREAS, proposal fees were received from the two contractors and were found to <br />comply with the request for proposals; and <br />WHEREAS, the two proposal fees received are tabulated below; and <br />Company Proposal Fee <br />Braun Intertec Corp. $64,935 ($555 / mile) <br />American Engineering Testing, Inc. $90,675 ($775 / mile) <br />WHEREAS, the proposal fee of Braun Intertec Corporation in the amount of $64,935 for <br />said services in accordance with the prepared request for proposals is the lowest responsible <br />proposal fee and shall be and hereby is accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with Braun Intertec Corporation for said s ervices for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />
