Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-078 <br />RESOLUTION RE -APPOINTING BOARD AND COMMISSION MEMBERS <br />WHEREAS, there are seats on the City's boards and commissions that have expired as <br />of March 31, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, there are four current members seeking re -appointment <br />WHEREAS, per Minnesota Statue 469.095, pertaining to the Mayor's authority to <br />appoint members to the Economic Development Authority (EDA), Mayor LeTourneau indicated <br />that he will re -appoint Mr. Richard (Scott) Cords to the EDA; and the City Council indicated <br />approval with the Mayor's selection, as follows: <br />Economic Development Authority, Richard (Scott) Cords 6-year full term (04-01-20 to 03-31- <br />26); <br />WHEREAS, the City Council agreed by consensus to the following remaining <br />appointments to the boards and commissions, as follows: <br />Environmental Michael Valentine 4-year full term (04-01-20 to 03-31-24) <br />Policy Board Michael Hiatt 4-year full term (04-01-20 to 03-31-24) <br />Planning Commission Bruce Anderson 4-year full term (04-01-20 to 03-31-24) <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #20-078 as follows: 1) re -appointing the following board and <br />commission members effective April 1, 2020: to the Economic Development Authority, <br />Mr. Richard (Scott) Cords to a 6-year full term; and to the Environmental Policy Board, <br />Mr. Michael Valentine to a 4-year full term, Mr. Michael Hiatt to a 4-year term; and to <br />the Planning Commission, Mr. Bruce Anderson. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />
