CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 04/28/2020 <br />By: Katie Schmidt, Administrative Services <br />5. 8. <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Adopt Resolution #20-080 Hiring Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to request authorization to hire Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers. Annually, <br />the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities <br />Divisions of Public Works. At this time, staff selected two seasonal candidates to work in the Public Works <br />Department. It should be noted that, although the attached job description indicates the hiring range of $11.00 to <br />$12.00 per hour, the City Council approved a new wage scale of $13.00 to $15.00 per hour for seasonal employees, <br />including a .50 cent increase for each returning year. Both candidates listed below are returning for their second <br />season. <br />Seasonal Public Works Maintenance workers provide general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings, <br />and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer, and possibly fall months.
