Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-081 <br />APPROVAL OF LEASE OF 6701 HWY 10 TO MILLE LACS MOTOR SPORTS <br />II <br />WHEREAS, COVID-19 pandemic and the Stay at Home Order has impacted the <br />normal business operations of Mille Lacs Motor Sports, namely delaying the customer <br />pick-up of boats in storage, and those that have been repaired; and <br />WHEREAS, Mille Lacs Motor Sports has asked the city to consider a temporary <br />lease of 60 days of an area behind the building at 6701 Hwy NW at no charge, to <br />accommodate for the delayed boat pick-up and the incoming summer inventory; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey currently has a lease with Mille Lacs Motor <br />Sports on adjacent properties and the Tenant is in good standing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey EDA had a special meeting on April 23, 2020 and <br />recommended that a temporary lease be entered into with Mille Lacs Motor Sports due to <br />the unique circumstances relating to Covid-19 and that the $420.00 rent be refundable if <br />the Tenant performs according to the terms of the proposed lease. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey authorize execution of the attached lease with Mille <br />Lacs Motor Sports II <br />That the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this 28th of April, 2020. <br />Mayor <br />
