In October of 2004, Anoka <br />County Police and Firc changed over to a new radio system otherwise known as the 800 <br />megahertz system. With the new system up and running the existing (old system) VHF radios are <br />unt[sable. <br /> <br />Thc l:irc l)cpartment inventory of"old system" radios is as follows: <br /> I landheld Models <br /> -(19) Motorola HT 1000 with 6 spare batteries <br /> -(2) Motorola MT 1000 <br /> -(1 ) Bendix King <br /> -(3) Motorola MT 600 <br /> <br />Base Models <br /> -(2) Motorola Radius <br /> <br />Mobile <br /> <br />Models <br />-(I) Motorola Max Trac 300 <br />-(1) Motorola Radius M1225 <br />-(1 ) Motorola Spectra <br />-(I) Motorola Maratrack <br />-(1) Motorola MCS 2000 <br /> <br />lrirc l)epartmcnt has also replaced a slide-in grass fire rig.
