He stated the business has grown quickly and they outgrew the location they were in, so he thought they could move it to the pole barn for a Wkhile to keep 0verhead down. He noted he did call the City two years ago when they first started be6~i~e the'~aih office was in his basement. He indicated he was told he did not need a permit at thai'time.' He stated he did not try to mislead anyone. Mr. Guzzo indicated that as to the trucks, the gro~h 6~ the b~Siness has been a learning experience. He stated they did signs for Kohl's, which were being picked up and dropped off'at his location. He indicated that since then they. have learned to have the signs brought directly to the job site. He stated there ~s a path he created for his kids so they do not have to drive on Green Valley Road that he intends to pave, which will help with traffic. He reiterated it was not his intent to mislead anyone. Chairperson Nixt asked how he would respond to the concern about the number of trips and the hours of operation. Mr. Guzzo stated their hours are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. He indicated.they had a big order for Gander Mountain recently and had a couple of late nights because the schedule was moved up, but the intent is to only work those hours, Monday through Friday. He noted he also nses the pole barn for personal use, so he is in there at other times of the day and weekends. Commissioner Shepherd indicated the request is for a maximum of five years. She asked if that was realistic. Mr. Guzzo indicated they do not know how long it will take to move, but the intent is to be out of thc pole barn as soon as possible. He stated he hopes it will be less than five years. He indicated they have been using the pole barn for three to four months and in that time the business has grown substantially. He noted that right now, paying rent for a different location would set them back. He indicated they own three trucks; a pick-up truck, a flatbed stored at a Planning Commission/April 7, 2005 Page 3 of 23
