He indicated there were gravel roads in the area and there needs to be some <br />upgrades in the entire area. He noted the neighborhood indicated in the past they did not want <br />City sewer and water. <br /> <br />City l:,ngineer Jankowski stated there was a plan presented to the neighborhood and it was <br />micctcd. There has been a chronic problem with draining in the area and this will provide an <br />casement so that once there are some storm water pipes put in the area, it has a place to drain <br />down to. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Cormier, TMH Development, stated regarding the drainage, staff proposed the twenty- <br />I'oot casement along Outlot A and lot seven; there is some potential room along the north to <br />accommodate storm water retention. He described the types of homes that will be put on the <br />property. He stated the price range would be around mid $250,000 and up for the splits, <br />$300,000 plus for the modified homes. <br /> <br />Mr. t tarm~an indicated he was also concerned about the lighting in the area. It was noted there <br />was not any lighting in that neighborhood. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Brauer, Shepherd, <br />[~cvinc, Van Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairperson Nixt. <br /> <br />~l'hc public hearing closed at 10:29 p.m. <br /> <br />Commission Business <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Johnson called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order <br />at 10:29 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Van Scoy, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, to recommend that <br />City Council approve the proposed preliminary plat contingent upon compliance with the City <br />Staff' Review Letter and approval by the Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization <br />for thc proposed filling and mitigating of the wetland on the subject property. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Johnson, Commissioners Van Scoy, Shepherd, <br />Braucr, i,cvine, and Watson. Voting No: None.
