Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Executive HRA Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br />Associate Planner Amy Geisler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />at the <br /> <br />CAIA~ TO ()ill)Ell <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:04 p.m. and called <br />upon two members of Boy Scout Troop 414 to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The <br />Boy Scouts were in attendance to earn the Citizenship in Community Merit Badge. <br /> <br />PI;tESI,;NTATION: LIVABLE COMMUNITIES GRANT BY METROPOLITAN <br />CO IJNC I L REPRESENTATIVE NATALIE HAAS STEFFEN <br /> <br />Moved in thc agenda to follow the Citizen Input. <br /> <br />PI,HC, SENTATION: ANNUAL STATE OF THE CITY REPORT <br /> <br />Mayor Gamcc presented the annual State of the City Report. He stated the current Ramsey <br />population is about 23,000. The growth in the last few years has been important to the tax base, <br />and there have not been large tax increases in the City. The growth has helped provide services <br />to thc citizens with their taxes remaining one of the lowest in a city of their size. After the <br />election of last fall he as Mayor and Councilmember Strommen returned to office, and <br />Councilmcmbcrs Olson and Jeffrey joined the Council.
