<br />Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #20-081 <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF LEASE OF 6701 HWY 10 TO MILLE LACS MOTOR SPORTS II <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />COVID-19 pandemic and the Stay at Home Order has impacted the normal <br />business operations of Mille Lacs Motor Sports, namely delaying the customer pick-up of boats in <br />storage, and those that have been repaired; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , Mille Lacs Motor Sports has asked the city to consider a temporary lease of <br />60 days of an area behind the building at 6701 Hwy NW at no charge, to accommodate for the <br />delayed boat pick-up and the incoming summer inventory; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City of Ramsey currently has a lease with Mille Lacs Motor Sports on <br />adjacent properties and the Tenant is in good standing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the Ramsey EDA had a special meeting on April 23, 2020 and recommended <br />that a temporary lease be entered into with Mille Lacs Motor Sports due to the unique <br />circumstances relating to Covid-19 and that the $420.00 rent be refundable if the Tenant performs <br />according to the terms of the proposed lease. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA <br />COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the City of Ramsey authorize execution of the attached lease with Mille Lacs Motor <br />Sports II <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Menth, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Menth <br /> Councilmember Heinrich <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />
