Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #20-084 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PROPOSALS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2020 GROUND PENETRATING RADAR PAVEMENT EVALUATIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-06 WHEREAS, City staff proposes to use ground penetrating radar to evaluate existing pavement sections on 117 miles of public streets that have no as-built record plans or project inspection records to identify the existing pavement section with confidence; and WHEREAS, requests for proposals were submitted to two contractors for the purpose of obtaining proposal fees for completing the proposed services; and WHEREAS, proposal fees were received from the two contractors and were found to comply with the request for proposals; and WHEREAS, the two proposal fees received are tabulated below; and Company Proposal Fee Braun Intertec Corp. $64,935 ($555 / mile) American Engineering Testing, Inc. $90,675 ($775 / mile) WHEREAS, the proposal fee of Braun Intertec Corporation in the amount of $64,935 for said services in accordance with the prepared request for proposals is the lowest responsible proposal fee and shall be and hereby is accepted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Braun Intertec Corporation for said s ervices for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey.
