Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #20-092 RESOLUTION DIRECTING STAFF TO HIRE A CONTRACTOR AND ABATE ABANDONED SIGNAGE AT 14037 ST. FRANCIS BLVD WHEREAS, the property at 14037 St. Francis Blvd has abandoned signage from a previous massage parlor tenant, Oasis Massage, at the property legally described as follows: Lot 1, Block 1, Rivers Bend Plaza, Anoka County, Minnesota. (the `Subject Property'); WHEREAS, Section 117-462 allows removal of abandoned signage by the Zoning Administrator; and WHEREAS, the City has received a complaint about abandoned signage at the Subject Property; and WHEREAS, the existing tenant panel sign and the unit signage still indicates "Massage" for a business that is no longer operating; and WHEREAS, removal of the tenant panels by the City will be more cost effective and timely than bringing the issue into Civil Court; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved hiring a contractor to remove the signage seen in Exhibit A on May 12, 2020. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants approval for the Zoning Administrator to follow Section 117-462 and hire a contractor to remove the abandoned signage on the building and on the tenant sign at 14037 St. Francis Blvd. 2. That Staff should choose the lowest responsible quote for removal of the signage. 3. Signage removed shall be those seen in Exhibit A. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent:
