Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #20-111 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE DESIGN OF A PROPOSED STABLE/HORSE SHELTER AT14401 ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD NW WHEREAS, Kristen F. Joly, hereinafter referred to as the "Property Owner", has applied for a Building Permit (the "Permit") to construct a new horse shelter (the "Shelter") with certain required architectural features only on the front elevation rather than all four (4) sides on the property generally known as 14401 Armstrong Blvd NW and legally described as follows: Lot 1, Block 2 Alpaca Estates 3th Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota (the "Subject Property"); and WHEREAS, City Code Section 117-349 (Accessory Uses and Buildings) requires all detached accessory buildings to be designed with soffit, fascia, and eave overhangs; and WHEREAS, that the proposed Shelter does include soffit, fascia and eave overhang on the front elevation but not on the other three elevations; and WHEREAS, City Code Section 10-3 (Barns and Stables) states that any barn or stable housing horses, sheep, cows, goats, or other animals shall be located at least seventy-five (75) feet from neighboring lot lines. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants approval of the Shelter as designed with architectural features only on the front elevation on the Subject Property. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of May, 2020.
