The redevelopment plan for the redevelopment area in the City will afford maximum opportunity consistent with the needs of the locality as a whole, for the redevelopment of the area by private enterprise. 3. gl'he redevelopment plan conforms to the general plan for development of the City as a whole. Finance Officer Lund indicated on February 2, 2005, the EDA held a special meeting to adopt a Resolution initiating the process for establishment of a redevelopment plan. At its regular meeting of February 8, 2005, City Council adopted a resolution initiating the process for approval of the redevelopment project area and called for a public hearing on the redevelopment plan. Thc EDA will be asked to adopt a resolution approving the redevelopment project area and plan at its regular meeting of March 9, 2005. Citizen Input There was none. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Olson, Elvig, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberJeffrey. The public hearing was closed at 7:20 p.m. Council Business Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:20 p.m. Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to adopt Resolution #05- 03~073 approving redevelopment project area and plan. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Olson, Pearson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Jeffrey.
