Councilmember Heinrich introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #20-107 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ALTERNATE BID B FOR VARIOLITE STREET RECONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #20-01 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct Variolite Street between Alpine rd Drive and 173 Avenue in 2020; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-071 adopted April 14, 2020, the City Council accepted the Feasibility Report and ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for Improvement Project #20-01, Variolite Street Reconstruction; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #20-089 adopted May 12, 2020, the City Council approved plans and specifications and authorized the advertisement of bids for the same improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer requests City Council authorization to issue an addendum including Alternate Bid B as part of the plans and specifications for the same improvements due to the numerous benefits this alternate is anticipated to provide. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer to issue an addendum including Alternate Bid B to the plans and specifications for Variolite Street Reconstruction, Improvement Project #20-01. The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, and upon a roll call vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Riley Councilmember Heinrich Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember Menth Councilmember Musgrove Councilmember Specht and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
